New in Archetype version 12
Checklists
The new Checklist module allows users to create and manage their own checklists. A checklist library, which can be edited and expanded, containing 10 checklists, e.g. HSE Checklist, Site Health and Safety Checklist, Checklist for Accessibility, Architect Project Checklist, SERS Checklist; are supplied with Archetype. Checklists and checklist items can be linked to Archetype tasks.
Site Reports
This new module, integrated with the previous Site Inspections module, has forms and reports for Site Visits, Site Delays, Contractor Claims, Defective Work and a Client Financial Report.
New Features
Some of the changes are listed below but many wish list items have been added and users will notice some improvements to many of the Archetype modules such as improved interfaces and new options.
Publish
The Publish option is used in Instructions, Agendas and Minutes to automatically email PDF files of the documents to recipients. For example, when creating an Instruction you can simply select the Publish option to email the PDF file to the Contractor, Client, QS and anyone else you choose. Archetype records who published the documents to whom. Staff need permission to publish documents so you can choose which staff can and cannot use the publish options.
Tasks
It is now possible to create tasks which are linked to any number of selected documents. Thus a task may have links to files from the drawing and document registers as well as pdf files from other Archetype modules such as Minutes, Instructions, etc.
Calendar
The Calendar now supports overlapping and multi day appointments and appointments can be dragged and dropped to other times and days. There are new Day, Week, 2 week, 3 week and 4 weeks views.
Time sheets
A new staff permission to excuse time sheet completion when the time sheet enforcement options are selected enables you to select which staff are not required to complete time sheets.
Holiday Planner
This now supports any number of colours for different holiday types, which you can set as appropriate, and also indicates am or pm for half day holidays.
Drawing register
Many changes and improvements have been made including better support for Microstation files, an improved interface, automation of Autocad for batch producing PDF, DWF, DXF and bound copies of drawings. An option to use the Archetype PlotStation is included.
Archetype Finance
The much improved Fee/Invoice management system now allows the inclusion of time charges and expenses to be automatically entered in invoices and tracks which time charges and expenses have been added to invoices. Also, improved handling of invoice terms and overdue invoices has been developed so that overdue notices can be automatically produced with varying text depending on the number of days the invoice is overdue. |
