The clip file list is used to remember a number of documents that you have been working with. The list of documents can be added to by selecting and adding drawings from the drawing register, documents from the document register, PDF files from other documents that you have created and any other selected files.

In this way you can access documents and e-mail then without having to know the full filename and path of the files.




Clip files are usefull if you wish to email over a couple of documents at once to a client from different modules, projects or even your local computer. In each of the modules you have a option to add to clip list. Any module that created PDF are automatic added to the list (Control pannel perferencees needed to be set)



The Browser option built into Clip Files is used to browse the PDF and Zip files  created by Archetype. In this way you can search for, open and add files to the clip file list without needing to know their location on your network. Files can then be selected and added to the clip file list or opened as required. If a project or section of the application are selected for which there are no files a message will be displayed to let you know their are have been no files created

The files are displayed with the most recent at the top of the list and the date and time the file was created is also displayed, this way you can find the new items quickly
